I talk a lot about how lucky I feel when people invite me to photograph their special moments. So of course I was going to say yes when Chelon asked me to take her maternity photos. Chelon is also a photographer and she's been so willing to answer my questions as I try and take myself a bit more seriously. I've second shot for her a few times and each time it's such a joy watching her work. She connects so well with her clients and is able to make people feel instantly comfortable. As you can probably see, she has a vibrant and colorful personality. And oh boy, those EYES. She and Craig were such a joy to be around and are going to be great parents for their beautiful baby girl.
amy and marcus
Photographing these two didn't quite go as planned. Seattle weather likes to keep you on your toes. Luckily, I've been wanting to take photos with this umbrella for a long time now so as soon as I saw it raining outside I knew it would all be okay.
Amy and Marcus were troupers - braving the wind and rain for longer than I would have expected. Plus they looked damn good doing it.

sam and dom
This is Sam.
Or Miss-mantha.
Or as my brother once called her,
the most beautiful girl in the whole world.
And this is Dom.
He's her person.
And he's turning into a pretty damn good friend.
And this is the two of them together.
